1. There was a time a child was told, they were to be seen, not heard and that was further inculcated by the rhetoric that we have two ears and one mouth, so one should listen twice as much as they speak. Sadly, there are those who still believe this today.

When provoked with questions, rather than regurgitating textbook answers, I was often punished and often removed from the classroom. But, I was never discouraged, I had discovered life’s real lesson.

Wisdom is not a birthright as a result of one’s age and respect is not demanded.  

One must earn by every individual because you get what you put into them.
